Zemas Gluten-Free Roasted Chestnut Topping
This healthy and delicious Roasted Chestnut Topping offers a host of beneficial nutrients, including fiber, antioxidants, the mineral manganese for bone health and they are naturally sweet and delicious.
- 4 T. Grass-Fed Ghee(for lactose free) or Grass-Fed butter
- 1 Cinnamon Stick
- 1/8 t. Himalayan sea salt
- 1/8 t. pure maple syrup or honey
- pinch of ground nutmeg
- pinch of ground cinnamon
- 1 lb. roasted and peeled chestnuts, chopped
- Place small sauce pan over medium heat.
- Please butter in pan and melt, along with all ingredients, except the chestnuts.
- Cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Add chestnuts and salute for 5 minutes.
- Place spoonful on top of pancakes, waffles or on a spoon!
