Zemas Gluten-Free Roasted Chestnut Topping
This healthy and delicious Roasted Chestnut Topping offers a host of beneficial nutrients, including fiber, antioxidants, the mineral manganese for bone health and they are naturally sweet and delicious.
  1. 4 T. Grass-Fed Ghee(for lactose free) or Grass-Fed butter
  2. 1 Cinnamon Stick
  3. 1/8 t. Himalayan sea salt
  4. 1/8 t. pure maple syrup or honey
  5. pinch of ground nutmeg
  6. pinch of ground cinnamon
  7. 1 lb. roasted and peeled chestnuts, chopped
  1. Place small sauce pan over medium heat.
  2. Please butter in pan and melt, along with all ingredients, except the chestnuts.
  3. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add chestnuts and salute for 5 minutes.
  5. Place spoonful on top of pancakes, waffles or on a spoon!
