GMOs (or “genetically modified organisms”) are living organisms whose genetic material has been artificially manipulated in a laboratory through genetic engineering. Consuming GMO’s on a consistent basis can have an adverse affect on our overall health and well-being.
According to the Non-GMO Project, “GMO’s are in as much as 80% of conventional processed food and are a direct extension of chemical agriculture, and are developed and sold by the world’s biggest chemical companies. The long-term impacts of GMO’s are unknown, and once released into the environment these novel organisms cannot be recalled.”
I made a commitment in 2010 to start a clean food company for not just my own family’s needs, but because I believe we all have a right to consume pure food and to know where it came from and what is in it.
