Zemas Gluten-Free Mexican Spice Brownie Bites
This brownie bite is power packed with ancient grains, superseeds and a spicy kick!
Mexican Brownie Bites
  1. Zemas Gluten-Free Black Bean Brownie mix
  2. ½ c. black beans, drained and rinses
  3. 1 t. pure vanilla extract
  4. 10 oz. water
  5. ½ t. chili powder
  6. 1 t. ground cinnamon
  7. ½ c. dark chocolate chips (dairy-free or regular)
  8. ½ c. chopped walnuts (optional)
Spicy Caramel Sauce
  1. ½ c. caramel sauce topping (we like The Date Lady’s vegan & gluten-free Caramel Sauce)
  2. ½ t. chili powder
  3. ¾ t. cinnamon
  1. Preheat oven to 350 and spray mini-muffin tin with non-stick spray.
  2. In a mixing bowl add chili powder and ground cinnamon to Zemas mix, set aside.
  3. Drain black beans in a strainer until the water runs clear and place in blender with water and vanilla. Puree.
  4. Add pureed mixture to dry mix and combine.
  5. Mix in chocolate chips and nuts(optional).
  6. Fill mini-muffin cups 2/3 of the way full and bake 10-12 minutes.
  7. While baking place the carmel sauce ingredients in medium saucepan and heat over low heat until softened and combined.
  8. Use a spoon to drizzle over brownie bites once cooled and serve.
