Zemas Gluten-Free Apple Pie Waffles
Give your family apple pie for breakfast and feel good about it with Zemas healthy and delicious Apple Pie Waffle recipe!
Waffle Ingredients
  1. Zemas Gluten-Free Multigrain Pancake & Waffle mix
  2. 1 1/3 c. milk of choice (almond, rice, coconut, dairy)
  3. ¼ c. pure maple syrup
  4. 3 T. oil of choice (coconut, grapeseed)
  5. 1 egg (egg replacer)
  6. 1 t. cinnamon
Apple Pie Topping
  1. 5-6 apples, peeled, cored and sliced
  2. 4 T. butter (dairy-free or regular)
  3. 4-5 T. palm sugar (sugar of choice)
  4. 1 t. cinnamon
For the waffles
  1. Preheat waffle maker to medium and spray with non-stick.
  2. In mixing bowl, combine all liquid ingredients. Stir in Zemas mix and cinnamon and blend well.
  3. Ladle ¼ c. batter into waffle maker and cook according to waffle maker directions. Serve hot, topped with our Apple Pie Topping.
For the apple topping
  1. Melt butter in a sauté pan over medium. Add in sliced apples and cook for about 5 minutes.
  2. Add palm sugar and cinnamon in with the apples and cook an additional 3 minutes until apples are tender but not mushy.
